You are always welcome!Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, you'll find a warm, open and understanding welcome at our Christian Science church, full of individuals who have overcome many challenges through their study and practice of Christian Science.
Chiristian Science, based on Christ Jesus' teachings, shows that Christian healing is still very much alive and possible today. For over 130 years, people who have turned to this vital Christian study have found complete healing from a wide variety of challenges: chronic pain, addictions, poverty, unemployment, grief and all levels of illnesses. But what is more vital is how people have regained their lives and experienced the freedom of unlimited possibilities through an understanding that we are all deeply loved by God. |
Church ServicesThis church is one of several Christian Science churches in the area. It is called Second Church because it was the second Christian Science church established in Minneapolis. Sunday School classes (also at 10am) are opoen to all young people up to the age of twenty. Nursery care is also available for the very young. Wednesday evening testimony meetings (at 7:30pm) include readings from the Bible and Science and Health - and you'll also hear of current testimonies of healing through Christian Science from the congregation. |
Love for our communityPublic talks about healing and prayer as practiced in Christian Science are offered regularly as a way to help bring healing ideas to the community. Whether the speaker is addressing dealing with crime through prayer, or tackling domestic violence, or simply sharing how healing is possible in everyone's life today - each talk opens up new and progressive possibilities on a community scale. Please call 612-377-5668 to find out about the next scheduled lecture.
The Christian Science Committee on Publication exists to give the community accurate information about Christian Science. Working as a media spokesperson and legislative liason, the Committee on Publication is available to speak to larger media and legislative groups.
Simpson Shelter Support
"Freely ye have received, freely give" ( Matthew 10, verse 8) is the foundation to our work with this homeless shelter. A group from the church provides a complete evening meal once a quarter. This includes shopping, preparing, cooking and clean up of a 3 to 4 course meal. Please ask any usher if you would like to sign up to be a part of this activity. Food Shelf Support
We support a local food shelf with donations of goods, whether it is through a financial gift or in supplying non-perishable food items. Pleae feel free to drop off your food items or a check in the office at any time. |
