Paper #3

Fearless love for all humanity and the signs of the times

What is fearless love? A love without fear, yes.  But when you love without fear,  it is because you are more confident in something other than that “fearful thing.” You know two things:
  • ONE - That Love is the only power
  • TWO - That nothing outside of Love can have power because - see #1 Love is the only power.

Likewise, you know that you cannot love and fear at the same time.  Just as you cannot have light and darkness at the same time.

Christ Jesus showed this fearless love many times.  He knew That Love is omnipotent, present in every moment, always active. And we can follow Christ Jesus in the same way.

In the book of Acts, we read: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” — ACTS xvi. 31. The Scriptures require more than a simple admission and feeble acceptance of the truths they present; they require a living faith that so incorporates their lessons into our lives that these truths become the motive-power of every act…..

“Believing on the Lord Jesus Christ does mean to understand the beauty of holiness, the character and divinity which Jesus presented in his power to heal and to save, that it will compel us to pattern after both; in other words, to “let this Mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. ii. 5.) (Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, Mary Baker Eddy, pp. 196:28–22).

Let that mind be in us - as it is in Christ Jesus.  So, what was Jesus thinking - what did he know about God as Love? He knew his oneness with God; he knew God as Abba, Father; Christ Jesus must have known these things about the love of God:
  • From Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
  • From Jeremiah 9:24” let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercises lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.”

We too can have that same consciousness of Love that Christ Jesus walked around with.  Step by step we can live by these words: From  Psalms 36:7, 9 (to :) “How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.. For with thee is the fountain of life.”  Our fearless love for one another comes from God who first loved us.
So – loving fearlessly – We looked at this with a magnifying glass at last year’s Association with this section on LIVING for all MANKIND at a time of GREAT OPPORTUNITY.  Here are some highlights:

  • And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness on the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. (I John 4:16–19)

  • Matthew Henry Commentary:   It may well be said, So (wonderfully, so amazingly, so incredibly) God loved the world. 3. That God loved us first, and in the circumstances in which we lay: Herein is love (unusual, unprecedented love), not that we loved God, but that he loved us,

So, we did not invent Love - it was not a survival response, nor was it a way to conjure up a good feeling.  Love is not something we fabricated to explain things that seemed unexplainable.  Love exists like the air we breathe.  A life-giving, life-affirming force whose “seed is in itself” has a naturally multiplying effect in our lives.  God loves, and His impact is overflowing.

Love, in our human condition, may only be understood by degrees, but when we open our eyes to even the most squinty allowance of Love,  like a mustard seed, that spark of divine Love goes deep into consciousness, gets rooted, and starts to invade all of consciousness until Love takes over.
  • God loves like a laser beam - annihilating the hidden hurt.
  • God loves like a lighthouse - guarding and guiding our home and purpose
  • God loves like a spotlight - revealing all that is real, beautiful,  and true
  • God loves like the sun - radiating warmth and energizing and revitalizing all
God first loved us.  Out of the amplitude of that Love came the overflow as God’s expression in infinite variety reflecting God’s infinite nature.
Love is not a theory. It is THE creative Principle.  Love creates, constitutes, and governs all things from the infinitesimal to infinity. Love is not love unless it is expressed.
God first loved us.  That perfect love is the standard.

This is an important time to be a Christian Scientist. Alert to humanity’s needs draws us to break out of our own comfort zones and learn to love even more joyously, intentionally, quietly, and fearlessly.  One spiritually minded political thinker is quoted: “This is a moral moment. It’s not left or right, it’s right or wrong.”

The moment we are living in demands the moral qualities that define us: SLIDE 17--  In Science and Health, MORAL is defined as Humanity, honesty, affection, compassion, hope, faith, meekness, temperance.(Science and Health, p. 115:26–27)
These qualities lead up to the spiritual:  Wisdom, purity, spiritual understanding, spiritual power, love, health, and holiness. (Science and Health, pp. 115:26; 116:2 )

To be a Christian Scientist is all about our communion with God/ our oneness with God—that’s the platform from which we heal ourselves, others, and our communities. We continually strive to deepen, broaden, and expand our understanding of God and Christ’s teachings.
To be a Christian Scientist is to fully understand what we are doing—to LOVE, LOVE,  LOVE and do the work Jesus taught his disciples to do—with a pure heart, willingly, expectantly, and, yes, fearlessly.

From the Journal article: “The power and reach of scientific thought’: The world needs us right now. It needs us to be roused with a greater yearning to know God and a more expansive love for mankind. It needs us to let Christian Science transform all areas of our lives, and to be engaged with what Mrs. Eddy describes as “the higher mission of the Christ-power to take away the sins of the world” (Science and Health, p. 150)—chief of which is the belief that there is life and intelligence in matter to help or harm.

The demand for spiritual healing is real, as is the desire to be healed from sin - a belief that we are separate from God, good,--  it's something we can be deeply passionate about addressing. Love, Divine Love always finds a way.
SLIDE 18  “God gives the lesser idea of Himself for a link to the greater, and in return, the higher always protects the lower.”It is this link that impels human action. “The rich in spirit help the poor in one grand brotherhood, all having the same Principle, or Father; and blessed is that man who seeth his brother’s need and supplieth it, seeking his own in another’s good.”  ( Science and Health, p. 518:13)

Giving of our prayer, time, and resources comes from the abundance of God’s love in which we are enriched, not depleted, as divine Love provides the ideas and opportunities to meet every human need.  Being a witness to the good already at hand magnifies that good.
Being alert and aware of the good and evil that is happening now is equally important. Know that evil is not a person, place, or thing.  Evil is not a political movement nor incorporated into religion.  Watch for and see the light.  Understand that the leaven of Truth is always at work.

What is the leaven? It is Christian Science—the law of God, good.  Christian Science is the force that works as the leaven, moving thought from a material basis to a more metaphysical one.  This is the leaven going on here:  “Belief in a material basis, from which may be deduced all rationality, is slowly yielding to the idea of a metaphysical basis, looking away from matter to Mind as the cause of every effect.(Science and Health, p. 268:6 9)

Every effort to do good, no matter how small or big, has behind it God’s infinite, inexhaustible, and triumphant love and this continues to leaven thought, acting as an “alterative in the entire system”  be that a system of the body, an organization, a church, a nation, the world.

In this section, let’s look at some of those signs of the leaven of Truth at work, where thought is moving from a material basis to a more spiritual basis. This is the effect of Christian Science - the law of Love - operating in human consciousness.

I like to think of this section as a scrapbook of humanity’s spiritual progress, inspired by Mrs. Eddy’s over 40 scrapbooks; it is a mark of brotherly and sisterly love, this way of listening and being alert and awake to what is happening in human consciousness today.  It is a way of cheerfully supporting all the good acting in humanity’s spiritual progress..
These studies and book reviews help us listen to the needs and voices of today.  They illustrate key ideas that Mary Baker Eddy already stated:
  • “This age is reaching out towards the perfect Principle of things; is pushing towards perfection in art, invention, and manufacture. ...Metaphysical healing, or Christian Science, is a demand of the times. Every man and every woman would desire and demand it, if he and she knew its infinite value and firm basis.” (Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 232:6–8, 21–24)
  • “Hence the unsatisfied human craving for something better, higher, holier, than is afforded by a material belief in a physical God and man.” (Science and Health, p. 258:3–6)
These studies and the  2 reviews of books provide just a bit of evidence of the leavening effect of thought, demonstrating the influence of Truth on human consciousness.
“Drawing on Pew and Gallup (top primary, nonpartisan pollsters), plus Barna (faith-sector research) and Vox (secondary analysis), evidence from 2023–2025 shows strong spiritual openness and needs for connection, meaning, and mental-emotional support among younger Americans; the long decline in U.S. Christian membership appears to have slowed/leveled (not reversed), attendance remains below pre-pandemic levels, and Gen Z (13-28 today)  shows mixed signals—some renewed interest in spirituality, but few belong to a formal church yet the studies indicate high emotional and spiritual support needs.”

A GLOBAL SURVEY FINDS A LINK  SATISFACTION and SPIRITUALITY
https://www.csmonitor.com/Commentary/the-monitors-view/2025/0506/The-meekness-behind-human-flourishing
The CS Monitor wrote an article featuring newly published data from the expansive Global Flourishing Study (GFS) from Harvard, which is providing new insights into this topic. The first-round surveys in this five-year project covered more than 200,000 participants…..the biggest finding, across age cohorts in 22 countries, shows that poorer nations outrank far wealthier ones in “flourishing.” SLIDE 19

“This is a big question: With economic development and secularization, have we sometimes been neglecting, or even suppressing, powerful spiritual pathways to flourishing?”  So, “As countries get richer and focus more on money and modern life, are we forgetting or ignoring important spiritual paths that help people live better lives?” It found that in wealthier countries, people often felt less meaning in life, even though their country made more money.

BOOKS in the marketplace of ideas - Best-selling books are key indicators of what a country, culture, values - what ideas are humanity paying for?

A conversation about Believe: Why Everyone Should Be Religious - Bestseller in 2024  -This book appears to address the question posed in the global survey: “With economic development and secularization, have we sometimes been neglecting, or even suppressing, powerful spiritual pathways to flourishing?”

  • Ross Douthat would say yes! His recent book argues that belief in God is not just a matter of faith but also a logical necessity. He suggests that religion provides a framework for understanding the world and addresses the challenges of our time, such as loneliness and the search for meaning. The book challenges the idea that religion is merely a matter of personal preference and presents it as a rational and compelling way to live.
  • He also argues the point that atheism and materialism miss some life-saving wisdom and protection and present real threats to the soul as well as the body.  “Without eternal possibilities, the stakes of human life are lowered.” AGREED. SLIDE 20

Mrs. Eddy takes it farther:
  • “...they must…gain some proper sense of the infinite, — in order that sin and mortality may be put off  (Science and Health, p. 265:5).
  • “Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind….”(Science and Health, p. 60:29–31)
  • “Man is more than a material form with a mind inside,....Man reflects infinity, and this reflection is the true idea of God.” (Science and Health, p. 258:9)
Author Douthaut argues that “religious belief might be not only socially or psychologically desirable but also an entirely reasonable perspective on the nature of reality and the destiny of humankind.  ….the time seems ripe to argue exactly that.”  He is not the only one who sees this time as ripe for rethinking.
A number of Christian scholars see this as a time of great change in Christianity; some are calling it the deconstruction of Christianity.  Christian deconstruction is the process by which a Christian critically reevaluates the tenets and doctrines of traditional Christianity, emerging with a different perspective on their faith.

Author Brian Zahnd in his book When Everything Catches Fire,: Faith forged from the Ashes, argues that what is needed is not a demolition or deconstruction but instead a renovation and reconstruction of faith.  The book addresses spiritual doubt and offers a path toward rebuilding faith rooted in Christ rather than dogma.  Like other Christian thinkers and scholars ( Brian McClaren, among others), it includes a call to reclaim contemplative, experiential Christianity over intellectual abstraction.
Zahnd permits us to risk the journey of deconstruction so that God can forge something more beautiful in its place.

It is interesting how Mary Baker Eddy recognized the need for something more beautiful in Christianity and asked well over a hundred years ago: “Why, then, should religion be stereotyped, and we not obtain a more perfect and practical Christianity?” (Misc. p. 232:8–10) And she recognized: “The time for thinkers has come. Truth, independent of doctrines and time-honored systems, knocks at the portal of humanity. Contentment with the past and the cold conventionality of materialism are crumbling away. Ignorance of God is no longer the stepping-stone to faith.”(Science and Health, p. vii:13–18) SLIDE 21

So, let’s get back to discussing how we practice this fearless love in this most transformative time in many ways, including through religious reinvention and renovation. Omnipotent, omniactive, omniscient, and omnipresent Love never fails.  In this time of upheaval and reformation, we need to be alert to the subtle claims that evil is more powerful than good.  Mary Baker Eddy’s words are particularly instructive:

“Christian Scientists cannot watch too sedulously (Sedulously suggests a quality of being meticulous and persistent, careful and thorough in one's efforts) or bar their doors too closely, or pray to God too fervently, for deliverance from the claims of evil. Thus, Scientists will silence evil suggestions, uncover their methods, and stop their hidden influence upon the lives of mortals. Rest assured that God in His wisdom will test all mankind on all questions; and then, if found faithful, He will deliver us from temptation and show us the powerlessness of evil, — even its utter nothingness.”  (Misc p. 114:21)'

Fearlessly loving mankind means being watchful, persistent, and careful as we face evil. This is not always easy.
Sometimes, after feeling the peace and love that comes with healing, people stop there. Some avoid the topic of evil until they are forced to face it. It is understandable.  Even Mary Baker Eddy was reluctant to write the chapter on animal magnetism.
One reason it was challenging is that the topic of evil is not a pleasant one. It’s much more appealing to focus on the beauty of divine Love. But animal magnetism, by its nature, hides itself, making it tricky to confront.

Mrs. Eddy didn’t want to scare her students when teaching about it. She wanted to make them stronger, not fearful. Some critics claimed animal magnetism wasn’t real and didn’t need to be addressed.

Despite her early hesitation, Mrs. Eddy came to see unmasking animal magnetism as essential. She saw it as the opposite of divine Science—a false belief that mind is in matter, and both good and evil. She realized that confronting this illusion was a vital part of healing and understanding Truth. She also warned that ignoring it leads to a false sense of peace and blocks progress toward Christ.
Today, the chapter "Animal Magnetism, Unmasked" in Science and Health presents evil as powerless and unreal. Students are urged to face it with confidence, knowing that “evil is not power. Its so-called despotism is but a phase of nothingness.”

How do we understand and confront these errors and their operations, be delivered from them, and see them dissolve in the light of Truth?  This is a profound and urgent question. Evil, especially when embedded in systems, often hides in plain sight. It is rarely just individual malice—it operates through ideologies, institutions, and technologies.

FIRST  show SLIDE 22: Divine Life, Truth, and Love are bigger than any of our problems. We are instructed in the Bible:  "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21)

God's word always has an impact. And it never "returns unto us void."  "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11)

And we’ve been called – we’ve enlisted! - to overcome evil with good, and it is possible and necessary. It’s a calling to feed the world’s hunger for something higher, deeper, holier—— for something far above the mortal strife and fear that suggests that disease and discord are inevitable, intelligent, and immortal.
Mortality does not define us, nor does it stop the Christ. Your calling is to demonstrate this. How?
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. " (Hebrews 12:1, 2)

We can follow Jesus and do it for the joy set before us.

This holy, triumphant joy breaks through the mesmerism of fear, understands the false bluster of evil, replaced with the startling and piercing Light of Truth.
Joy heals thoroughly, completely, and buoyantly; totally annihilating mortal mind’s daily dose of desperation.

"For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands." (Isaiah 55:12)

Joy, again, is the understanding of the ultimate triumph of Life. Love never fails. And Truth is always the victor over error.  Mary Baker Eddy shares what needs to happen to understand Truth
In SH, we read  “ A knowledge of error and  of its operations  must precede that understanding of Truth which destroys error, until the entire mortal, material error finally disappears,.....
So – First “ A knowledge of error “  and second,  “of its operations.”   These “ must precede that understanding of Truth.”
First thing is to have a  knowledge of error - What it is
  • SH 346: 9 Error is nothingness; illusion, unreal  (287: 22)
  •  “error has no power but to destroy itself.”
  •   in fact MBE told a student that “Error comes to you for life, and you give it all the life it has.” In essence, error runs on borrowed fear.
  •  aka as Hypnotism, a negation; mortal mind; the first lie of limitation

Note that error is not original – it has no origin.  Error, like a lie, cannot stand on its own.  You cannot simply have a lie - it has to be a lie about something.  It NEEDS something to negate.  Therefore, it is dependent, and not a power or force in and of itself.  If it isn’t fed—like by our fear or awe—it dies.  And it has no influence other than the influence we mistakenly give it.

The second thing required is knowing error's  operations – what it tries to do   --- It tries to make a separation between God and his creation  SEE SLIDE 23
  •   A bland denial - ( bland is smooth-tongued, operates through imagination; easy to swallow; disguised as your own thinking) or a distraction from what needs healing
  •  by masquerading as your thought – a thought coming to you as “I”  I am not good enough. Etc.
  •  by hiding  -  hides itself  and parades as apathy, sleepiness
  •  by repeating error - mesmeric repetition/hypnotic rumination; like “Oh I should have said, I should have done, I should have thought..... or similarly it asks circuitous questions: why do I have pain? How bad is the problem? Have you ever seen anything this bad? Or by simply repeating a lie over and over again in the hopes of being thought true by its insistent voice.
  • by casting doubt and fear/fostering suspicious distrust  – in self – in others – in CS as effective healing – in the past – in the present  – doubt about the future – fear of others' judgment
  •  Negates and resisting the Truth:  but, but, but –   Note that the word “but” first comes up in the second creation story 1 Genesis 2:  “But there came up a mist....”. and later  “...and caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam....” And then, did you notice, he never wakes up!
  • It confuses – if you ever have to ask yourself if you are listening to Truth or to error – that is the very question that lets you know it is error – as Truth is always clear!  Error is chaos and confusing.....

INTERACTIVE EXERCISE with the Monitor
And now, I want to take some time to work and pray together about key issues deemed some of the most challenging issues of our times..  I saw that Christian Science, our daily defense work, The Lord’s Prayer, and the design of the Church address the root of each of error’s claims and counter them.

We know that the starting point for all healing is a deep understanding of God.
The foundation of all healing is God.
  • God is incorporeal, divine, supreme, infinite Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love.
  • They are synonymous. They refer to one absolute God. They are also intended to express the nature, essence, and wholeness of Deity. The attributes of God are justice, mercy, wisdom, goodness, and so on. (SH. 465:8–1)
Next, we go forth - with the joy set before us!  From Holy Joy https://sentinel.christianscience.com/shared/view/2nyrgtqwkug?s=copylink.)
“Infinitely tender, this joy is far more than a humanly generated state of personal cheer. Soul-joy rests on the deep conviction that good is supreme and at hand.
“As a spiritual quality, joy is indispensable in challenging what Mrs. Eddy called “the ghastly farce of material existence” (Science and Health, p. 272), and in affirming the spiritual Truth that Christ Jesus taught—the Truth that makes us free. This shift in perspective changes our standpoint, and in turn, transforms how we perceive everything.
“Joy is not for the faint of heart. Practicing holy joy is a powerful and persistent affirmation of good, especially vital when conditions grow rugged. To claim and embody this joy is to take a decisive step toward physical healing.”
Countering the destructive strategies that perpetuate systemic evil requires a deeply intentional, perseverant,  and meticulous spiritual approach - that is inherently simple, clear and joyful.

Mary Baker Eddy writes:
'
... error, when found out, is two-thirds destroyed, and the remaining third kills itself." (Misc p. 210:5–7 error)  That’s always an encouraging thing to remember!

Last year, we took some of the key issues you all suggested and applied the healing ideas from The Lord’s Prayer.  I’d like to do something similar; this time, we will hand out copies of the Monitor Weekly to each of you, along with a worksheet that includes key ideas we have discussed about the Truth treatment.  You will look through the Monitor Weekly and find an article, an issue, or a point of progress that you would like to give a Christian Science treatment to.  In your work, use a line from The Lord’s Prayer and its spiritual interpretation, and pay particular attention to error and its operations, and call them out for healing.  Each Monitor has a worksheet in it.  Please pull that out, and Sharon has more copies if you need one.
Review the worksheet ( or just keep reading)..
What I would like you to do is select a story that illustrates an issue of the Monitor that needs healing.  Now this is a PRAYING on DEMAND exercise - so know that your prayer goes far beyond just this exercise - and God’s inspiration leads you to a fuller treatment on all global and personal issues.  However, we will once again examine The Lord’s Prayer in response to these issues. What we are adding to this year’s working session is the ability to identify the operation of error in this issue. Mrs Eddy writes:  “One thing is certain: If a student of Christian Science is to make definite progress Christward, he must not ignore evil but learn to recognize it as unreal and unmask it.” Science and Health (p. 252). Now, you’ll have 15 minutes to work on this.  This does not have to be shared with the larger group, but I will ask one or two people to share how they have prayed abou the issue.

15 MINUTE BREAK and then ask if  anyone wants to share what they have been praying about?

CLOSING

It’s essential that we continue to practice The Lord’s Prayer, as it is central to Christian Science. It blesses our lives and builds momentum for that movement of thought that demonstrates Truth.  Mrs. Eddy writes, “Truth’s immortal idea is sweeping down the centuries, gathering beneath its wings the sick and sinning.”(Science and Health p. 55:15–16) And the world will receive its blessing.
In June of 1918, William McCrackan, retiring President of The Mother Church, gave his address.

Here are some excerpts:

Christian Scientists, you can take the reins of pure victory in your hands. God gives you the spiritual understanding to free the world from hypnotism, apathy, hypnotic neutral arguments. There is no power in war atrocities used to hypnotize whole nations by misrepresenting barbaric cruelty; God's name cannot be used as a hiding place. Victory for truth cannot be erased from your thought nor taken out of the consciousness of a righteous world. The history of real victory is already written, and was with God before the world was. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" is the interpretation of that victory.

The talk reminded all  that “
we can all go forth with courage unto victory, and overcome the flesh with Spirit, destroy hate with Love, and banish death with Life.”

And then, in what could be seen as another demonstration of collective healing, five months later, WWI ended………….  See https://sentinel.christianscience.com/shared/view/s0vp9o3xgg?s=copylink)

There is a demanding call we are hearing today.  In "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 250) she says, “I make strong demands on love, call for active witnesses to prove it, and noble sacrifices and grand achievements as its results. ... “
What a bold request!  But God never gives us more than we can handle - so we can rest on the fact that we are enabled, made capable to do the work.

The world is calling out for JOY!  Joy is now a protest, kindness is a revolutionary response to despair. Take all the tenderness and resolve of the Christly nature that is so well illustrated in the Sermon on the Mount.  This brings us to see that it is in what seem to be little things of kindness, dignity, and respect that demonstrate an eternal Principle that heals, redeems, restores, and transforms.  Our kindness and joy become the resistance to chaos, conflict, depression, and division.  Our kindness and joy make healing commonplace and Love is the ever-new, the permanent and only normal.

Love, expressed in minutiae of ways, breaks down the hatred and malice that lead to war.  The little drop that we may consider our prayer and that seems so inconsequential comes from an ocean of Love.  It turns into a movement of thought, a tsuanami of affection and power.  This is what comprises our fearless love for humanity.

Howard Thurman (1899–1981) was a theologian and civil rights leader whose work deeply influenced Martin Luther King Jr. He emphasized nonviolence, inner spiritual strength, and justice rooted in love. said: “Ask what makes you come alive and go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

In summary, let’s remember that we come alive as we do the will of God - and love God with all our might; we love God by loving our neighbor as ourselves.  We can remember:
  • “Greater love hath no man than this - that he lay down his life for another.” John 15: 13
  • Pray for yourself daily; pray for each other; fulfill your duty to God, to our Leader, and to mankind, as it says in the Manual bylaw on alertness to duty.
  • Claim your joy by understanding triumphant Life, victorious Truth, and unfailing Love.
  • “LOYAL CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS ...In the dark hours, wise Christian Scientists stand firmer than ever in their allegiance to God. Wisdom is wedded to their love, and their hearts are not troubled.  Falsehood is on the wings of the winds, but Truth will soar above it. Truth is speaking louder, clearer, and more imperatively than ever. … a heart loyal to God is patient and strong. Justice waits, and is used to waiting; and right wins the everlasting victory”  (Misc. 275:20; 276:31–12).
