Christian Science, founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1866, is a system of spiritual healing.  It explains the universal, scientific laws behind spiritual healing as taught and practiced by Christ Jesus and teaches how these principles can be practiced today and how they can lead to health, and freedom from chaos, fear, pain and conflict.
The basic ideas of Christian Science include:
  • God is pure love, an infinite and omnipotent Father-Mother God.
  • The true spiritual nature of each individual is as a child of God, whole, balanced, intact and at peace.
  • Every individual has an unbroken relationship with God.
  • God's omnipotent goodness, realized in prayer, exposes new possibilities, promotes healing and brings about cure.
Christian Science is fully explained in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. See spirituality.com for more information and to read Science and Health online.
