Christian Science, founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1866, is a system of spiritual healing.  It explains the universal, scientific laws behind spiritual healing and how these principles can be practiced today.

The principles behind spiritual healing speak across borders, break cultural and generational barriers, and can be applied to the most intimate needs of an individual as well as to national and international issues.

The basic ideas of Christian Science include:

• God is pure love, an infinite and omnipotent Father-Mother God.
• The true spiritual nature of each individual is as a child of God, whole, balanced, intact and at peace.
• Every individual has an unbroken relationship with God.
• God's omnipotent goodness, realized in prayer, exposes infinite possibilities, promotes healing and brings about cure.
